We are looking for a Graphic Designer to join our team. This internship is valid for a 1 year period with a 6 month trial period. Apply today by sending your CV & portfolio to info@cherryrepublik.com. You can also share the link to your Behance/Instagram account to show off your designs.

Responsibilities Include

• – Study design briefs and determine requirements
• – Conceive and implement concepts, guidelines and strategies in various creative projects and oversee them to completion
• – Collaborate with account executives to obtain knowledge of the clients’ requirements
• – Direct and motivate teams of art directors, illustrators, copywriters etc. to help them use their talents effectively
• – Lead brainstorming/creative sessions to generate ideas when required
• – Revise content and presentations, approve/reject ideas, provide feedback to the team
• – Train and guide subordinates into accomplished professionals
• – Conceptualise visuals based on requirements
• – Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
• – Multimedia content generation: GIF, IG Story posts and mini videos
• – Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
• – Use the appropriate colours and layouts for each graphic
• – Work with Copywriters and Account Manager to produce the final design
• – Test graphics across various media to ensure dimensions are correct
• – Amend designs after feedback
• – Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
• – Update Cherry Republik’s Behance account to showcase designs once the design is complete. (You will be credited/tagged for your design.)
• – Back-Up all open files and designs on the Cherry Republik G-Drive
• – Interact on Monday.com and upload final artwork on the drive
• – Ensure all design deadlines are met
• – Attend the weekly call and monthly or bi-monthly team meetings
• – Ensure all design deadlines are met

Minimum Requirements

• – A relevant degree or certificate
• – A passion for design
• – Good understanding of UX, UI and front-end development would be beneficial
• – Self-starter – be proactive in creating designs and marketing materials
• – Strong communication, conceptual thinking, typography skills and design skills
• – Ability to interpret briefs, create ideas and run with a project from start to finish
• – Bring exciting new ideas and implement new design concepts across different platforms to push the brand further
• – Ability to work independently on strategic issues with clients, capable of managing fairly complex projects
• – Ability to work with a large variety of clients
• – Report on studio activity on a weekly basis
• – InDesign and Photoshop skills.

Job Type: Internship

Salary: R 7 000.00 per month
